Our Staff & Lay Leadership

Although our staff and lay leadership come from diverse backgrounds and experience, they have one thing in common. Each is committed to sharing with as many people as possible that " God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life." (John 3:16)

Staff

Rev. Glenn D. Meyer

Pastor
null
Rev. Glenn Meyer will serve as our full-time pastor and lead us through a special interim process which will help prepare us for the calling of our next resident pastor (probably sometime in the last half of 2020). He is a native Nebraskan and comes from a long line of Lutheran Christian farmers.    He is the oldest of eleven children, and his parents still live in the Norfolk area. He met his wife, Susan ( Bergquist) at Concordia, Seward.  They were married at King of Kings, Omaha, NE and recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. God has blessed Pastor and Sue with three children: two daughters, each married to Lutheran pastors, and a son, currently a missionary/teacher who will soon return to Concordia Seminary for his fifth year of study.

Jill Clausen

Church Secretary

Jill has been a member of Mount Olive all of her life. She previously worked for the church as a preschool helper, then a preschool teacher. She has taught Sunday School intermittently for the last 30 years and held volunteer positions on many church boards and committees. She has been married to her husband, Paul since 1998 and they live in Raven Oaks. Her hobbies include reading and travelling.

Rachel Misiolek

Church Organist
null
Rachel has been Mount Olive's Organist and Choir Accompanist since 2011. As an accomplished organist, pianist, and violinist, she is at the core of our congregation's worship music. Rachel spends her days as a teacher with Omaha Public Schools in the music classroom. When she is not working she enjoys spending time at home relaxing with her husband and two young daughters and infant son.

Lay Leaders

Victor Padron

Executive Director
null

Victor has been a Mt. Olive member since 1991 and has served in numerous leadership and teaching positions. In addition to presently serving as Executive Director, he is the driving force behind Mount Olive’s health ministry. Victor is an associate professor of pharmacy sciences at Creighton University, and his career has included being a practicing pharmacist and service as a U.S. naval officer. Married for 41 years, he and his wife, Jody, have three adult children. Victor enjoys Bible study (and how history, human behavior, and archeology inform that study), music, travel, the outdoors, and classic movies.

Betsy (Wegner) Kosch

Assistant Executive Director
null
Betsy brings energy, optimism, and an encouraging spirit to her post. She grew up in Florence as part of the Mt. Olive family. Betsy is currently principal at Joslyn Elementary School. She is passionate about children's education, including teaching them about Jesus. Betsy and her husband, Paul, have four children. Since Betsy and Paul come from large families, they feel blessed to have their children’s aunts, uncles, and cousins worship and attend Sunday School with them on Sundays.

Bonnie White

Treasurer
null
Bonnie's mother invited her to Mt Olive as an adult. In Bonnie's words, "It has proved to be a great church family for me." Prior to retiring as a Contract Manager for Lincoln Financial Group, Bonnie crafted group health and life insurance policy provisions (which required regulatory approval from various state Department of Insurance regulators).Since retirement Bonnie spends her time traveling, working in her yard, enjoying the company of her friends, and (of course) keeping track of Mount Olive's income and expenses.
