Meet Our Staff & Lay Leadership

Although our staff and lay leadership come from diverse backgrounds and experience, they have one thing in common. Each is committed to sharing the Good News that " God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life." (John 3:16)

Bill Moorhead

Pastor Bill Moorhead will serve as out Part-Time Pastor until our new full-time pastor arrives.  He was born in Waterloo, IA, and graduated from high school in Lawrence, KS. Pastor has two LCMS undergraduate degrees (1967, 1969), an M.Div. from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, 1973, and a D.Min. from Lutheran School of Theology, Chicago, 1986. He served a dual parish in Kansas, 1973-77, Pacific Hills, Omaha, 1977-2014 (retired), and St. Paul, Omaha, part-time 2015-2019. He has been the Omaha North Circuit Visitor (counselor) since 2011.
Victor Padron
Executive Director

Victor has been a Mt. Olive member since 1991 and has served in numerous leadership and teaching positions. In addition to presently serving as Executive Director, he is a driving force behind Mount Olive’s health ministry. Victor is a retired associate professor of pharmacy sciences at Creighton University, and his career has included being a practicing pharmacist and service as a U.S. naval officer. Victor and his wife, Jody, have three adult children. Victor enjoys Bible study (and how history, human behavior, and archaeology inform that study), music, travel, the outdoors, and classic movies.
Jill Clausen
Church Secretary

Jill has been a member of Mount Olive all of her life. She previously worked for the church as a preschool helper, then as a preschool teacher. She has taught Sunday School intermittently for the last 30 years and held volunteer positions on many church boards and committees. She married her husband, Paul, in 1998, and they live in Raven Oaks. Her hobbies include reading and traveling.
Betsy (Wegner) Kosch
Assistant Executive Director

Betsy brings energy, optimism, and an encouraging spirit to her post. She grew up in Florence as part of the Mt. Olive family. Betsy is currently principal at Joslyn Elementary School. She is passionate about children's education, including teaching them about Jesus. Betsy and her husband, Paul, have four children. Since Betsy and Paul come from large families, they feel blessed to have their children’s aunts, uncles, and cousins worship and attend Sunday School with them on Sundays.
Rachel Misiolek
Organist/Choir Director

Rachel has been Mount Olive's Organist and Choir Accompanist since 2011. In 2019, she took on the added duties of Choir Director and Worship Planner. As an accomplished organist, pianist, and violinist, she is at the core of our congregation's worship music. Rachel spends her days as a teacher with Omaha Public Schools in the music classroom. When she is not working she enjoys spending time at home relaxing with her husband and two young daughters and infant son.
Bonnie White
Treasurer

Bonnie's mother invited her to Mount Olive as an adult. In Bonnie's words, "It has proved to be a great church family for me." Prior to retiring as a Contract Manager for Lincoln Financial Group, Bonnie crafted group health and life insurance policy provisions (which required regulatory approval from various state Department of Insurance regulators). Since retirement Bonnie spends her time traveling, working in her yard, enjoying the company of her friends, and (of course) keeping track of Mount Olive's income and expenses.
