The City of Omaha holds a special primary and general election every four years to elect a mayor and all seven members of the city council. The elections are held the year following a Presidential Election.

  • The primary election is held the first Tuesday in April (April 6, 2021).
  • The general election is held the first Tuesday after the second Monday in May (May 11, 2021).

City of Omaha elections are officially nonpartisan. Political party information is not printed on the ballot. The two candidates receiving the most votes during the primary election will advance to the general election. The winner of each office in the general election will take office on the fourth Monday following the general election.

Mount Olive will be a polling site again this year.
